Example of Thixotropic resin in use - injection of splits in a decorative rafter

A Manor House carrier beam at first floor level had suffered from Wet Rot and Death Watch Beetle over many years, resulting in loss of strength extending from the bearing end. By careful placing of epoxy coated steel re-bar (BS4449) to our Design the loss of long grain strength could be made up with multiple connectors, the Structural Epoxy Pouring Grout then completing the composite, reinforced repair structure.

Example of Thixotropic resin in use - laminating an Oak beam repair unit (TRS)

Laminating - the original, historic oak beam had been badly attacked by Wet Rot and Death Watch Beetle at one bearing end. This was replaced with a TYPE E Timber-Resin Splice Unit, which consisted of new, pre-manufactured timber to match the original, with pre-bonded epoxy coated steel re-bar connectors. The thixotropic resin was used in production for lamination of the kiln dried oak.

Example of Thixotropic resin in use - injecting cracked, hollow render to repair bond to Tanking

Masonry Injection - the plaster/render coating over a Tanking system had cracked and de-laminated due to excessively fast shrinkage during drying-out - the central heating had been turned on full blast! To avoid decanting the offices of staff and computers, the cracks were hand drilled and carefully injected using small syringes filled with thixotropic resins.

Polyurethane Bonding Resin - ultra fast set - laminating, glueing & bonding

Polyurethane Bonding Resin - 1.0 litre and 400cc cartridge

A one part polyurethane resin, supplied as either a honey-like liquid in a bottle or as a smooth paste in a cartridge. Designed for ultra fast bonding of timber, plastic, metal and concrete. Ideal for fast production of a strong bond. Moisture curing. It will bond onto a damp surface. Available as standard and Slow Set versions.
